La Manso and the Luxury of Plastic Jewelry
La Manso is an independent designer jewelry brand from Barcelona, Spain, founded by designer Adriana Manso in 2018. Its most recognizable label is “luxury made from plastic.” With high-saturation color, exaggerated silhouettes, and a full Y2K retro-millennium mood, the brand quickly became visible on social media.
Plastic as the Point of Difference
Adriana Manso never studied fashion design. Her inspiration comes from the vintage plastic jewelry collected by her grandmother. To recreate the vivid color and shine associated with the 1990s, she chose plastic as her medium and built her own colorful jewelry kingdom.
At a time when the jewelry world generally pursues real gold and silver alongside eco-friendly, biodegradable materials, La Manso boldly makes high-quality plastic and acrylic its core materials.
A Colorful Jewelry Kingdom
The designer considers plastic “a very grateful material” because it can achieve exaggerated forms and abundant color.
